October 6th, 2004

I can't believe that September is gone.  Since my last letter Ryley has started walking; lots of fun and very cute.  He has also started saying bye-bye with a little wave, not that often but he does.  We took him to the Zoo last weekend and he got to ride around on Dad's shoulders to see all the animals.  He just loved it.

On Sunday we when to the Birth Place Forest to select a tree for Ryley.  In Calgary they started planting a tree for every baby born.  This the 4th year they have done it.  There were 2 mascots at the Birth Place Forest and Ryley didn't like them at all.  Sparkie the fire dog came up to him and touched him.  Well, he let out a scream, then he cried; it was very sad.  The bunny didn't even get to get that close, and he started to cry.  There goes a picture with Santa this year.

My new job is great, and I really like the people I work with.  I'm also learning a lot about orthodontics and may still be in information over load mode.  Orthodontics is not just about braces, they do all kinds of very neat things.  After my probation is up I may get braces to straighten my teeth.  These ladies love to bring baked food to work.  I guess they all like to bake and then need someone to eat it, so they bring it to work.  I may end up putting on a few pounds.
