Hope everyone had a great Easter!
We had a busy couple of few days. Friday morning we took Ryley swimming at the Leisure Centre. Jeff, Sheri & Kaden came down on Friday and spent the day with us. Saturday we took the dog for a walk at Fish Creek and then had supper at Ron's mom's place. Sunday morning we went to brunch to meet Catherine's family. We had a great time and really liked everyone. Sunday evening we went to Great Aunt Dorothy's for supper. We got to see Stephanie and her little son. Ryley really enjoyed the baby and had fun playing with him.
Of course Sunday morning Ryley go up and found that the Easter Bunny had visited and left him a few gifts. He had a trail of chocolate eggs leading around upstairs and then down the stairs. He started by picking up ever egg, but as he determined the trail continued further he started skipping a few. Once he got downstairs and could see where the trail leaded he gave up and ran behind the couch to find his basket. He found even more chocolate there and a couple of colouring books. Sunday morning was a great morning for him as he got to eat lots of chocolate.
Ron is still working from home and loving it. They are getting ready to deploy another client, so he is spending a little more time working.
This has been an easy week for Jennifer, no work on Monday and 3 hour days the rest of the week. She has been at the orthodontists office for 6 months now. She took Makeba to get spayed on Monday. Jennifer stayed and assisted with the surgery, and a couple of others too. Ryley and Jennifer went for a play date on Wednesday at Christie's. Ryley enjoyed playing with Adam and Kyla.
Ryley had his full-meal-deal check ups. It started with the eye doctor - he can see. Next was the doctor - he is healthy. Last was his shots - they hurt. He is 32 and a quarter inches tall and 25 pounds - right on the 50th percentile line for both.
Ryley is starting to remember more places and events now. He knows if we say we are going to Sobey's that he is going to get a cookie. If he is going to Grandma's he knows he get to see Elmo. It is amazing how quickly they learn. We have given up trying to keep up with his vocabulary - it seems to grow daily. Last time we checked he was over 40 words and that was a couple of weeks ago.
We went to a ladies appreciation dinner at the Freemason's Hall in Calgary. It was nice to go out to supper and dancing with grownups. Ryley stayed with Aunt Catherine and Uncle Randy and had a great time.
