It has been over a month and a half now since we have put a letter together so we should have lots to tell...

In the middle of April we went to a wine tasting and awards show.  Basically everyone who entered wine in the contest brought bottles of wine for everyone to taste.  It was an excellent roast beef dinner with all the trimmings.  We won a really nice cork screw and a bag of corks.  We ended up giving both away... a corkscrew for Mother's day and corks to the neighbours.

Ryley has started to conjugate his verbs, sometimes with mixed results.  One of his favorites is when watching Shrek he says he is "Shreking".  Some other ones he likes are raging, biking and running.  We have started taking him for regular bike rides and he loves them especially when we go by the tractors working in the new areas.  He is talking up a storm now learning new words of a daily basis it seems.

Jennifer's work is the same old same old.  She still loves working at the Orthodontic office and keeps coming home with new responsibilities.  Recently she took on the advertising role for the new office.  She is now in charge of researching and presenting the different options available for advertising.  She then works with the companies to make sure their ads are displayed.

Ron is still working at home.  Nothing new to report; still busy and lots of work to do.  Jennifer and Ryley tend to be a distraction when they are home Friday afternoons.  Ron has been taking half vacation days on Friday so he can spend some more time with them.  He is out of vacation days, so it looks like he will have to start working full days.

We renewed our zoo passes so are spending one or two days a month there.  Ryley enjoys this a lot more this year than last.  He now recognizes the animals and tells us what he wants to see.  Last time we were there he really wanted to ride the train, but he wanted Mom to come with him.  Unfortunately they don't allow anyone over 12 to ride on the train.  We tried to explain that we would be walking right beside the train, but that just wasn't good enough.  We try to take him swimming a couple of times a month.  He loves being in the water and playing.

This weekend we are planning to head to Butterfield Acres, the local farm.  The kids are allowed to touch the animals and see a real working farm.  Ryley is going to love it.

The dog is getting big.  She is 7 months old now so she shouldn't get much bigger.  She is very active and loves running at the off leash area.  We try to get her there a few times a week.  The cat was sick early this month.  She has a bladder infection and was drinking lots.  A few weeks of antibiotics and she seems to be back to a normally annoying cat.
