It has been a while since we last wrote.  It seems to take a lot more work to get a letter off lately...

Uncle Randy married Aunt Catherine 2 weekends ago.  They had a beautiful ceremony and a really nice reception.  Ryley was a ring bearer and Ron was the best man.  Ryley made it all the way down the aisle with Dawson (the other ring bearer) and the teddy bear.  Ryley was very well behaved during the ceremony, but he made sure everyone knew he was there.  He was very excited when Mom pulled Barney out of his bag and let everyone know that he had "Barney".  A little later he finished the pretzels he was eating and announced the he wanted "More Pretzels".  Jennifer did a reading during the ceremony.  The wedding was great and we all enjoyed seeing lots of our extended family.  The reception was a great time, but Ryley left about half way through dinner.  He went home with Chris and Tanya and was a wonderful little guy.

Ryley is growing like a weed and learning new things all the time.  He is now starting to learn a little bit of Filipino - he can say Mama, Daddy and Pooh in his new language.  He really enjoys lots of different activities now.  He goes to the zoo and wants to see the elephants, loves to go to the water park and run in the water, has a great time going swimming.  One of his favorite things to do is help 'workin'.  He enjoys cutting the grass and helping with building stuff around the house.  He also enjoys playing in his pool.

We spent a day in Banff this past month.  It was one of the few days when it wasn't raining.  We headed up the gondola and went swimming in the hot springs.  Ryley really enjoyed both activities.  We then went and did a little shopping and then went out to supper.  After eating we went on a horse drawn carriage ride.  Ryley really enjoyed that.

Jennifer is still enjoying her work at the orthodontist office.  She recently got braces on her teeth to straighten them out a little.  Flossing has been a bit of an issue, taking over 20 minutes the first time.  The pain of the new braces is mostly gone now and she is doing much better eating now.

Ron is still working at home and enjoying that.  He has also started working part time at Home Depot in the lumber department.  It is a good chance for him to get out and spend some time talking with other people.  He is enjoying his job so far and is getting a great workout at the same time.

We are on 2 weeks vacation right now and are having a great time spending lots of time with Ryley.  Our little puppy is turning into a monster; we hope it is a phase she will grow out of.  She ate half a cake and several crayons one day.  She won't leave anyone who comes to visit alone and like to lick everyone in sight.  The cat is now doing fine, she is eating again and everything seems to be back to normal.
